Franck Vigroux & Antoine Schmitt

Franck Vigroux & Antoine Schmitt[FR]

When taken to its paroxysm of absolute coincidence with public perceptions, the total work of art is akin to the mind manipulation techniques of totalitarian regimes: repetitive semantic jabs, subliminal messages, annihilation of the critical mind.

ATOTAL A/V Live is an audiovisual concert that aims to reconstruct in order to better deconstruct the processes of imposition of the will through repetition and absolute synchronism, to propose a gap towards a potentially vital mismatch.

Franck Vigroux (FR)

Proteiform artist, he unfolds in a universe where music, theater, dance and video intersect. His work encompasses multiple practices, from the concert to the Gesamtkunstwerk (total work of art), and is developed both in an exclusively electronic current, conceived for live performances, and in long abstract electroacoustic compositions. In 2015, with composer Kasper Toeplitz, he founded the “electric” instrumental ensemble IRE. Made up of five musicians, the ensemble performs new works and performs live.

Antoine Schmitt (FR)

He lives and works in Paris, France. He is a plastic artist, creator of works in the form of objects, installations and situations in order to negotiate the processes of movement and question the intrinsic problems of plastic, philosophical or social nature. Heir to kinetic art and cybernetics, fueled by metaphysical science fiction, Schmitt tirelessly interrogates the dynamic interactions between human nature and the nature of reality. With a precise and minimal aesthetic, he poses the question of movement, its causes and its forms
