Ottonian is a Tbilisi-based DJ, producer, and sound engineer whose
work channels the ghost frequencies of Techno’s early resistance. A
resident at TES Club and a key figure in the city’s underground, he also
serves as the club’s in-house audio engineer, managing the iconic
Funktion-One system with precision and intent. He first came to
attention in 2019 at DRAMA Bar, where his carefully sculpted sets
hinted at a deeper historical sensibility.
Heavily influenced by the early underground movements of Detroit and
Chicago, his renowned music production pays homage to formative
labels such as Dance Mania, Axis, and Underground Resistance —
influences that continue to shape his musical identity today.
For Ottonian, Techno is more than sound—it's a method of preserving
underground culture and pushing back against commercial uniformity.
His sets trace a clear line from the genre’s origins to its present
mutations, reaffirming techno’s original role as both artistic expression
and cultural resistance.
