Illegal Frequencies is a collaborative art project formed in 2021 by four Georgian artists. They chose the name "Illegal Frequencies" from their initial rehearsal space in a former film studio in Tbilisi, which they called "The Headquarters of Illegal Frequencies". The group was evicted from this space by the Georgian Ministry of Culture. Their artistic work, which includes lyrics in Georgian, explores themes of satire, tragedy, everyday life, social issues, pain, and love. The band's musical style, described as "fag-core, sludge metal, alternative noise metal," is noted for its unpredictable shifts and reflects the diverse personalities of its members.
